Bitter Smoke: screenplay nears completion

Bitter Smoke, a feature film in development at Tessera Talent, is entering the final stage of screenwriting. The screenplay is written by Denys Halushko and adapted from the novel by Marianna Zadorozhna, for which Tessera holds the exclusive screen rights.

Set in a quiet brick courtyard in Pittsburgh, the story follows a retired man who has spent twenty years watching the window across the yard, and a neighborhood that has learned to live with what it buried.

With the script nearly complete, we are beginning conversations with US studios and production partners about bringing the film to the screen. We will share more as the project moves forward.
